Revision 1.78, Thu Jun 5 23:48:16 2014 UTC (2 years, 10 months ago) by rmind
Branch: MAIN
CVS Tags: tls-maxphys-base, tls-earlyentropy-base, netbsd-7-base
Branch point for: netbsd-7
Changes since 1.77: +2 -2 lines

- Implement pktqueue interface for lockless IP input queue.
- Replace ipintrq and ip6intrq with the pktqueue mechanism.
- Eliminate kernel-lock from ipintr() and ip6intr().
- Some preparation work to push softnet_lock out of ipintr().

Discussed on tech-net.

 * The default range is IPPORT_ANONMIN to IPPORT_ANONMAX, although

 * A user may set the IPPROTO_IP option IP_PORTRANGE to change this

 *
 * The value IP_PORTRANGE_DEFAULT causes the default behavior.

 * The value IP_PORTRANGE_HIGH is the same as IP_PORTRANGE_DEFAULT,

 * The value IP_PORTRANGE_LOW changes the range to the "low" are

 * It is only secure if you trust the remote host to restrict these ports.
