Equivalent to the .Xr sysctl 7 .Va kern.ostype variable. .It Va nodename Network name of this machine. Equivalent to the .Xr sysctl 7 .Va kern.hostname variable. .It Va release Release level of the operating system. Equivalent to the .Xr sysctl 7 .Va kern.osrelease variable. .It Va version Version level of the operating system. Equivalent to the .Xr sysctl 7 .Va kern.version variable, except that very long values are truncated, and newlines are converted to spaces. .It Va machine Machine hardware platform.
