Remove socks5 due to distfile unavailability and a license which forbids
redistribution. Equivalent functionality is provided by the free net/dante
package (or even "ssh -D" for simple use cases)

Remove pkgviews: don't set PKG_INSTALLATION_TYPES in Makefiles.

Drop superfluous PKG_DESTDIR_SUPPORT, "user-destdir" is default these days.

Mark packages as MAKE_JOBS_SAFE=no that failed in a bulk build with
MAKE_JOBS=2 and worked without.

Use standard location for LICENSE line (in MAINTAINER/HOMEPAGE/COMMENT
block). Uncomment some commented out LICENSE lines while here.

DESTDIR support

Set NO_*_ON_FTP pending reading the license.  With no MASTER_SITES,
this is unreasonably difficult.

Changed the file permissions of the binaries from 111 to 555, so that
they can be packaged by an unprivileged user. I don't see any reason to
make the binaries non-readable, since they are neither set-uid nor
closed source.

PKGREVISION++

Removed the superfluous "quotes" and 'quotes' from variables that don't
need them, for example RESTRICTED and SUBST_MESSAGE.*.

Remove USE_PKGINSTALL from pkgsrc now that mk/install/pkginstall.mk
automatically detects whether we want the pkginstall machinery to be
used by the package Makefile.

Fixed pkglint warnings. The warnings are mostly quoting issues, for
example MAKE_ENV+=FOO=${BAR} is changed to MAKE_ENV+=FOO=${BAR:Q}. Some
other changes are outlined in

Replaced $f with ${f} to fix a pkglint warning.

Creating the directory once should be enough.
Prefer INSTALL_DATA_DIR to MKDIR.

update socks5 to socks5-1.0.2nb5
socks5 comes with a set of examples configurations - install them

Use INSTALLATION_DIRS to create "include" directory.
(This broke my bulk builds; it also appears that other directories
are precreated in Makefile's, just not include.)

TODO for non-root installs -- fix the hardcoded 111 mode which causes
binaries to be unreadable for packaging.

Remove USE_BUILDLINK3 and NO_BUILDLINK; these are no longer used.

Remove FreeBSD RCS Ids. pkgsrc has diverged too much for syncing to be
useful.

The default location of the pkgsrc-installed rc.d scripts is now
under share/examples/rc.d. The variable name already was named
RCD_SCRIPTS_EXAMPLEDIR.

This is from ideas from Greg Woods and others.

Also bumped PKGREVISION for all packages using RCD_SCRIPTS mechanism
(as requested by wiz).

Move WRKSRC definition away from the first paragraph in a Makefile.

update HOMEPAGE.

Instead of including bsd.pkg.install.mk directly in a package Makefile,
have it be automatically included by bsd.pkg.mk if USE_PKGINSTALL is set
to "YES".  This enforces the requirement that bsd.pkg.install.mk be
included at the end of a package Makefile.  Idea suggested by Julio M.
Merino Vidal <jmmv at menta.net>.

add rc script and use bsd.pkg.install.mk.
bump PKGREVISION.

Merge changes in packages from the buildlink2 branch that have
buildlink2.mk files back into the main trunk.  This provides sufficient
buildlink2 infrastructure to start merging other packages from the
buildlink2 branch that have already been converted to use the buildlink2
framework.

Merge changes from pkgsrc-current into the buildlink2 branch for the
packages that have buildlink2.mk files.

Fix MASTER_SITES (none any longer) and HOMEPAGE.

Convert from using buildlink1 to using the new buildlink2 framework.

Use ${EXTRACT_SUFX} properly.

Mechanical changes to 375 files to change dependency patterns of the form
foo-* to foo-[0-9]*.  This is to cause the dependencies to match only the
packages whose base package name is "foo", and not those named "foo-bar".
A concrete example is p5-Net-* matching p5-Net-DNS as well as p5-Net.  Also
change dependency examples in Packages.txt to reflect this.

Mark as USE_BUILDLINK_ONLY, and some minor whitespace alignments.

LIBS is automatically added to CONFIGURE_ENV by bsd.pkg.mk if
GNU_CONFIGURE is defined, so simply set LIBS to the appropriate value.

Try fixing PLIST problem.

Update to new COMMENT style: COMMENT var in Makefile instead of pkg/COMMENT.

Replace MIRROR_DISTFILES and NO_CDROM with the more descriptive and
more fine-grained NO_{BIN,SRC}_ON_{FTP,CDROM} definitions.

MIRROR_DISTFILES and NO_CDROM are now dead.

Prevent the automatic shlib handling mechanism from getting confused and
overwriting the shared socks library with circular symbolic links.  Remove
automatically generated symbolic link 'lib/libsocks5_sh.so' from PLIST.
Fixes PR 8969 by Claus Andersen.

Use wildcard depends

The Grand Homepagification:
	- New, optional Makefile variable HOMEPAGE, specifies a URL for
	  the home page of the software if it has one.
	- The value of HOMEPAGE is used to add a link from the
	  README.html files.
	- pkglint updated to know about it.  The "correct" location for
	  HOMEPAGE in the Makefile is after MAINTAINER, in that same
	  section.

Update for automatic shared object handling.

Update package Makefiles for automatic manual page handling.

Note conflict with socks4 package.

Use the bsd.pkg.mk and bsd.pkg.subdir.mk files in the pkgsrc tree.
Remove redundant (and sometimes erroneous) comments.

Remove -m argument from ldconfig calls, require the system to
have ${PREFIX}/lib in ld.so.conf instead. This ensures things
even work after a reboot.

Introduce TRUE?=/usr/bin/true, and use it.

Add section 5 manual page that was missed.

that NetBSD's ldconfig(8) will recognise.

Initial import of FreeBSD's socks5 port into the NetBSD package
collection.
