subversion: update to 1.14.4 This is a security release but the issue is Windows-only AFAICT. This is a stable bugfix and security release of the Apache Subversion open source version control system. Among regular bug fixes, this release fixes CVE-2024-45720: Subversion command line argument injection on Windows platforms On Windows platforms, a "best fit" character encoding conversion of command line arguments to Subversion's executables (e.g., svn.exe, etc.) may lead to unexpected command line argument interpretation, including argument injection and execution of other programs, if a specially crafted command line argument string is processed. UNIX-like platforms are not affected. Reported by: Orange Tsai and splitline from DEVCORE Research Team Full advisory: https://subversion.apache.org/security/CVE-2024-45720-advisory.txt https://subversion.apache.org/security/CVE-2024-45720-advisory.txt.asc

When a node has been copied from a protected location, users with access to the copy can see the `copyfrom' path of the original. This also reveals the fact that the node was copied. subversion: updated to 1.14.1 Subversion 1.14.1. This is a stable bugfix and security release of the Apache Subversion open source version control system. THIS RELEASE CONTAINS AN IMPORTANT SECURITY FIX: CVE-2020-17525 "Remote unauthenticated denial-of-service in Subversion mod_authz_svn" The full security advisory for CVE-2020-17525 is available at: https://subversion.apache.org/security/CVE-2020-17525-advisory.txt A brief summary of this advisory follows: Subversion's mod_authz_svn module will crash if the server is using in-repository authz rules with the AuthzSVNReposRelativeAccessFile option and a client sends a request for a non-existing repository URL. This can lead to disruption for users of the service. We recommend all users to upgrade to the 1.10.7 or 1.14.1 release of the Subversion mod_dav_svn server. As a workaround, the use of in-repository authz rules files with the AuthzSVNReposRelativeAccessFile can be avoided by switching to an alternative configuration which fetches an authz rules file from the server's filesystem, rather than from an SVN repository.

Fix failing configure when apr-util with db4 is used - result from change of drochner@ in databases/db4/buildlink3.mk rev. 1.36
Fix PLIST, configure really, issue when apr-util package has db4 option selected: subversion's configure script does not detect db4 support in apr-util hence ${PREFIX}/lib/libsvn_fs_base-1.* are not built and installed. So what's going on ? Well since devel/apr-util has db4 support with DSO, apu-1-config does not report db4 libraries, flags, etc. See https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apr-util/+bug/96980 The workaround is to give the argument --with-berkeley-db=... to subversion's configure script when apr-util package has db4 option selected. See http://svn.collab.net/viewvc/svn?view=revision&revision=35017
Only check PKG_BUILD_OPTIONS.apr-util if apr1 option is enabled. No change to default build.
Restore support for apr0 via the SUGGESTED apr1 option. Do not include logic to auto-enable apr1 if the option apache22 is defined because apache22 does not appear to be a valid option. Do not force apr1 if serf is selected. Instead, fail and force the user to choose consistent options. No PKGREVISION because apr1 is the default and the resulting package is unchanged. apr0 support not tested.
Explain the scheme to update build-outputs.mk when the svn version changes.

Allow subversion to be built with either apr0 or apr & apr-util. devel/apr0/buildlink3.mk: Add apr<1.0 to BUILDLINK_API_DEPENDS.apr . devel/subversion/Makefile.common: Drop --with-apr and --with-apr-util from CONFIGURE_ARGS; these have not been needed since the buildlink framework started ensuring the PATH is correct. Drop --with-ssl from CONFIGURE_ARGS; this has not been necessary since this stopped using the built-in neon. Include new options.mk . devel/subversion-base/Makefile: devel/subversion-base/buildlink3.mk: Use devel/apr0 or devel/apr & devel/apr-util if PKG_OPTIONS.subversion has the apr1 option. devel/subversion-base/options.mk: Provide apache22 and apr1 options; currently these must be set together, so enforce that. www/ap2-subversion/Makefile: Use apache22 if PKG_OPTIONS.subversion has the apache22 option, else use apache2.
devel/apr: Update to 1.2.8 (formerly in devel/apr1), no longer build from the httpd distfile. devel/rapidsvn: devel/subversion-base: parallel/ganglia-monitor-core: security/hydra: www/apache2: Use devel/apr0. www/apache22: Use devel/apr and devel/apr-util.

Added more documentation, since the installed INSTALL file refers to the README file, which had not been installed before. Bumped PKGREVISION.
BUILD_USE_MSGFMT and USE_MSGFMT_PLURALS are obsolete. Replace with USE_TOOLS+=msgfmt.
Over 1200 files touched but no revisions bumped :) RECOMMENDED is removed. It becomes ABI_DEPENDS. BUILDLINK_RECOMMENDED.foo becomes BUILDLINK_ABI_DEPENDS.foo. BUILDLINK_DEPENDS.foo becomes BUILDLINK_API_DEPENDS.foo. BUILDLINK_DEPENDS does not change. IGNORE_RECOMMENDED (which defaulted to "no") becomes USE_ABI_DEPENDS which defaults to "yes". Added to obsolete.mk checking for IGNORE_RECOMMENDED. I did not manually go through and fix any aesthetic tab/spacing issues. I have tested the above patch on DragonFly building and packaging subversion and pkglint and their many dependencies. I have also tested USE_ABI_DEPENDS=no on my NetBSD workstation (where I have used IGNORE_RECOMMENDED for a long time). I have been an active user of IGNORE_RECOMMENDED since it was available. As suggested, I removed the documentation sentences suggesting bumping for "security" issues. As discussed on tech-pkg. I will commit to revbump, pkglint, pkg_install, createbuildlink separately. Fixed pkglint warnings. The warnings are mostly quoting issues, for example MAKE_ENV+=FOO=${BAR} is changed to MAKE_ENV+=FOO=${BAR:Q}. Some other changes are outlined in http://mail-index.netbsd.org/tech-pkg/2005/12/02/0034.html
Lose PKGREVISION.
Add a missing entry to PLIST. Bump PKGREVISION.
Fix build: use PKG_BUILD_OPTIONS.apr instead of PKG_OPTIONS.apr.
Define BUILD_USES_MSGFMT because this package needs msgfmt to generate .mo files.
We used to avoid building all of Subversion again when building sub-packages (p5-subversion, py-subversion, and ap2-subversion) by hand-hacking build-outputs.mk, which was a big pain. Consequently, since the 1.0.7 update, pkgsrc has re-built the whole thing for each subpackage. This is annoying and makes p5-subversion not work with pkgviews on Darwin. Now, we'll fix the problem by patching gen-make.py, which generates build-outputs.mk. I may even be able to commit this change upstream. devel/subversion-base/Makefile: Generate build-outputs.mk hack. devel/p5-subversion/Makefile: devel/py-subversion/Makefile: www/ap2-subversion/Makefile: Replace build-outputs.mk in post-patch.
Instead of "patch-and-substitute", just do "substitute" step by using SUBST_CLASSES. Removes the need for patch-ac. Also improve the comment for the post-build step since the workaround is here to stay.
We don't need to check for APR_USE_* or generate our own _APR_OPTIONS variable since the apr/buildlink3.mk file does the right thing for us already; we simply need to include it and check the value of PKG_OPTIONS.apr.
Move gettext-lib/buildlink3.mk into Makefile.common; all the Subversion packages need this, not just subversion-base.
Support pkgviews.

import subversion-base-0.23.0 This package contains all the Subversion programs and libraries except the Apache module mod_dav_svn (for which see the ap2-subversion package) and the Python bindings and some programs which use them (for which see the subversion-python package). Installing this package alone will satisfy most people's needs, providing all three repository access layers (local, svn, and dav) and the server for the svn access layer.
